Brad Galbraith, Land Use Fellow

Brad joined the 1889 Institute in September of 2020. Brad’s research focuses on promoting individual liberty and free markets through the acquisition, use, and disposition of private property and the impact of zoning, planning, and land use policies on those liberties. His other policy interests include student-centered education policy and first amendment rights.

Prior to joining the 1889 Institute, Brad directed the advocacy efforts of an education policy nonprofit throughout the Western United States. His work focused on removing regulatory barriers to educational innovation and empowering parents to direct where and how their children are educated. Brad has also served as a policy advisor for a state governor and several policy makers. Brad graduated with a Bachelor’s and a Juris Doctor degree and is admitted to practice law in the State of New Mexico.

Brad lives in Yukon, Oklahoma, with his wife and two children.
